50th post -20 great books for world book day

 As this is my fiftieth post on Winston’s dad and also world book day i ve decide to do a list of 20 books fiction and non fiction today is the 4th march is world book day 2010 all these books i have enjoyed and would recommend highly –

  11. hunger by Elise Blackwell-us modern classic
  12. the suspicions of mr whicher by Kate Summerscale-where crime fiction started
  13. white teeth by Zadie Smith-mordern british

  1. Great list! I have enjoyed most of them, but haven’t heard of Hunger or Walden – I’m going to have to look them up!

  2. Great post Stu. A few in there I really want to read but so far haven’t i.e. Deakin’s Notes and Camus’ The Rebel and Sebald’s Rings, Thoreau’s Walden – two of them I own two of them I don’t :).
