When I started the blog last year i pondered various names for it and ended up with winstonsdad ,which i must admit doesn’t immediately say it’s a book blog .Well to explain Winston is my lovely dog ,he was a rescue puppy found on the streets of Sheffield at a few weeks old .he was a huge puppy and a naughty puppy as he chewed me out of house and home ,biting the stair tables and even the ear of my teddy I’d had as a baby ,but this passed and he grew up ,now six plus years later he tends to sleep most of the day and loves going for walks along the canal ,where he tries to take a dip most of the time .this leads to a guilty pleasure confession I love dog books like Marley and me ,walking Ollie ,they always upset me if there is an unhappy end but just enjoy hearing other dog owners stories .

Aww, he’s adorable! I’m a big dog lover too and have two of my own, both of which were also foundlings. And don’t get me started on the four cats 😛
