  1. That’s your reading sorted out for the next 20 years then Stu 🙂

You’ve got some nice titles in that lot Stu, especially the translated ones. Enjoy!
    Warmest
    Rob

  2. I love looking a people’s shelves – thank you for showing us yours!

For some reason I always find the books on other people’s shelves more exciting than mine! You have so many that I want to read, but don’t own. Hopefully you’ll be able to persuade me to get a few in the coming months. Enjoy them all. 🙂

  3. You have such an incredibly diverse selection of books! There are lots of titles I haven’t heard off, so I’ll be examining your pictures closely (although that won’t help my TBR pile!)

  4. Oooohhh incredible tbr piles Stu! I am awful jealous and see a lot of titles I’d love to borrow if you lived closer! 🙂 Also, 60 countries is very impressive! I am slacking in my ‘global reading’, with only, I think, around 20.

  5. What juicy photos, Stu! The Santa Evita group read with Frances will actually take place at the end of September, but I’m glad to hear you’ll be reading along with us. In the meantime, lots of great-looking reads on your shelves (I’m kinda jealous, but I have a bookshelf or two of my own to get to at some point, ha ha).

    1. hanks richard ,note sept looking forward to the eloy Martinez ,also have his tango singer to read in tbr that sounds great as well ,all the best stu

      1. I loved Eloy Martínez’s The Tango Singer! That was the first thing I read by him and still my favorite of his so far.

  6. Hmm, I don’t know if I have one book in particular I want to read by year’s end. I have read more this year than any previous year, in terms of numbers of books (mostly due to starting to read graphic novels), and so I’m pretty happy with my numbers. I do want to read more non-fiction, though, to end the year.

    1. I m always wanting to read some more non fiction never seem to get round to it ,all the best stu

  7. Lucky you that you have your TBR on shelves. Mine are in piles; I need an extra bookcase (but not sure where I’d put it anyway). I see quite a few books there that I’ve either read or have in my own TBR.

Also –TBRs have a way of never shrinking much :-).

    1. my amanda dosen’t like books in stacks so have to have lots of shelves so look neat ,akk the best stu

  8. Hey Stu, thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Your shelves are awesome! *jealous*
Just saw the tube books conversation on your twitter feed – hilarious.

  9. Ahh, some excellent ones there, I noticed The Blind Owl, which is an excellent little read . . . at the other end of the scale is 2666 which is similarly excellent, though it’s a sprawling mess. But, oh boy, what a mess!

You also reminded me that I needed to read a lot more Nabakov.

  10. You amaze me with the breadth of your reading Stu, these look fabulous and I will bookmark this page when I need a new more challenging book.
I aim to read lots through the autumn, particularly modern classics and 19th century classics too there are just too many I havent read. I want to read more Orwell after loving Down and out in Paris and London and more Wodehouse too. I need to brush up on my Dickens and get back in touch with Hardy.
A more recent author you and Simon introduced me too which I would like to read more of is William Trevor. Simon sent me Lucy Gault and I hope to get Love and Summer from the library. Thanks for triggering this list Stu x

  11. Those titles look fantastic, what an eclectic selection! I love translated fiction; I’m currently reading Two Underdogs and a Cat by Slavenka Drakulic.

    Happy Reading!

  12. 60 countries!! Wow!! Impressive!! I’m not nearly so organized. I’m going to follow and keep an eye on your reviews. You are reading some really interesting books!
