I m back ,I ve sat for period of time last two days and thought and have also been touch by kind comments and have decide what to do ,well the blog will still focus on translated books as that is what i read but with one or two more books in english than before ,I will be slowing my reading I feel I lost my way rushing books at times last couple of months so I ll be review more short stories and doing features ,I will also be putting more of my own personality in the blog than before ,also saying where the books are from ie library ,my own or a review copy as i think it is better to say and haven’t in the past .I am also going to do more read alongs as I am so enjoying don Quixote ,the next will be war and peace ,then I have in mind for 2nd half of 2011 USA trilogy by John Dos Passos another book that has sat on Winston towers shelves for to long .I had burnout a little the other day .I want to thank every one for the lovely comments .
SO THE CHANGES
- Slight update on about me page .
- acknowledging where the book was from
- less reviews but more quality and more of me in the reviews and Winston scores are back
- more features and short story reviews
I shall reply to your comments over the next couple of days .

Wonderful, Stu! I would miss you if you disappeared from the blogosphere! Why? Your personality and voice are distinctive. I’d love to join in with future read-alongs, and I’ve been eyeing War and Peace all summer. Dos Passos was a favorite in college, when I read The Big Money and loved it.
thanks lisa ,all the best stu
Hurray! I didn’t think you’d be away for long, Stu – when one is as passionate about books as we all are, you can’t resist the pull of blogging ands talking about them for long 🙂
I think putting more of your own personality into your reviews is a great idea: it’s always good to get a summary of what happened in the book, but I like to also know what the people who’s opinions I respect actually thought and felt about it.
Good luck and it’s great to have you back, Stu.
thanks boof true it is addictive ,all the best stu
Stu, what terrific ideas. Selfishly, I’m glad you are going to continue because I enjoy your voice and book selection.
thanks lynne
Good news!
thanks tom
Great Su! Glad you’re stickin’ around.
thanks emily
What a great idea! I’m very happy to see you are staying around and still will be doing translated fiction as well (though my wish list keeps growing out of control!). Best of luck, and I hope the burnout stays away.
thanks ,sure I ll add some more lol ,all the best stu
Dear Stu, I’m so glad you didn’t leave us! I hope you continue to feature translated books as it’s one aspect of your blog that I really look forward to. I’m also happy to see that you’re going to put more of yourself in your reviews.. that would be awesome.
Thanks claire
