Don Quixote week 6 do two don’s make a right

Now the best section this weeks read is where Don Quixote is sat talking with Don Lorenzo .when he says he is a poet and starts reciting his poetry which is good but not wonderful but as ever our don Quixote is over the top he calls him the  consumptive poets
I ve started feeling sad this week our journey is nearly  3 weeks left .remember to join us on Wednesday on Twitter when there is a cook along of a traditional Spanish dish from the time me Don Quixote by Rachel of catalan cooking who teaches Spanish cooking in London and lived in Spain for 20 years .I will post recipe and photos for non Twitter users

  1. Stu, I’m sad I’m so far behind even with the extra week off you gave us!Sorry about that–I feel like the worst readalonger ever at the moment. I do like how you point out DQ’s “over the top” manner, though; that’s one of my favorite character traits of his. Cheers!

  2. Oh, Don Quixote. So foolish, so lovable.

Yes, I’m sad that our journey is nearing it’s end! I hadn’t really considered that fact until now. Don Quixote has become such a staple in my weekly routine, and has easily become one of my favorite books of all time.

  3. Where are you at now, Stu? I lost track of the DQ schedule and only finished at the weekend. I did enjoy it, particularly towards the end, but it was stopping me from reading anything else so there is less sadness than relief!

Still, it is an amazing book. I don’t know if I would ever read it again, even though I know it would be worth it. Either way, I am grateful to you for providing the initial push. I never would have read it off my own bat. Cheers, Stu.
