HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL .
Well first full year of blog gone by its been an eventful year on the blog .I passed my two main challenges so as a new year dawns it time to consider personnel challenges ,which I tend to stick to I ve sign for some great reading challenges for Italian books ,Murakami ,Bolano and reading the Myth .so my personnel goals are –
To read 130 plus books last year I managed 127 so this is reachable ,the is usually a couple of days each month I don’t read and should so will try to pass this .
Reach 90 countries Last year I read books from 61 countries have review 58 and have 3 left to review .Want add depth to world reading more this year so less new and more from new writers from places I ve read from this be end of every month starting with Italy in Jan then Hungary in feb .I ll read 4 or more books from each country and doing a couple thematic post on the country .
Also hope to comment better on other blogs and meet new bloggers .
What your plans ?

Good luck for your goals, Stu, and here’s to another great year of blogging 🙂
Good luck with your reading goals. It puts my 30 or so a year to shame. All the best.
Happy new year, Stu! Good luck with your plans!
Happy New Year, Stu, and good luck accomplishing those ambitious plans of yours! (I think you already “comment well,” though.) Still working out my own plans, but in general I’d like to read more books by female authors, more nonfiction, and more books in French and Spanish to improve my language skills. I also want to read several chunksters I’ve been putting off and read a couple of authors (Cortázar, Roa Bastos) I’ve had trouble sticking with through lack of attention on my part.
Excellent goals; good luck with them. I do want to make better use of my time to get more reading, reflecting and writing done.
May your new year wishes come true! Good luck with your plans. Next year I wanted to read more from my own shelves. Simple as that and I hope to stick to it and resist the lure of libraries! 😀
best wishes for the new year, and will see you in – Bolano, italy, and Murakami. not yet sure what else I’m doing apart from reading a wider, more varied range of literature.
I’m glad you decided to stick around for another year – I look forward to reading your thoughts this year. I want to devote more uninterrupted time to reading and read books I already own. Happy new year and happy reading!
Your very cool dog has an eerily human expression on his face. I find this very amusing. 🙂
Your plans sound wonderfully ambitious, and I am right there with you about being better with comments. I want to make sure my comments are relevant too, not just throwaways. I want to read from my own shelves, read more French literature, love my Wolves every month on time, and read with unplanned abandon. Happy New Year, Stu!
Winston? What a lovely, jowly face! Great plans, Stu, glad you are sticking around!
Best of the new year to you, Stu! My plan is to simply go with the flow of reading. More international, more translations, more new authors.
Wow fantastic plans Stu! 90 is a huge number of countries, I hope you can do it – I can’t wait to get a ton of new recommendations 🙂
Happy New Year, Stu (and Winston)! Good luck on your reading goals!
Happy New Year! That is an impressive goal. Good luck!
Happy New Year, Stu, and congratulations on a year of great blogging. I am always amazed by your ambitious goals and your ability to achieve them. Speaking of ambitious goals, how did 2666 go over Christmas? Not the easiest book I ever read, took me months!
