  1. I started reading Was and Peace years ago but never finished it. Maybe it was about time a gave it a second chance. Happy reading Stu.

  2. I started reading W&P this week and am loving it. I have been trying to find a used copy of the Yizhar for a while now. Maybe I’ll give in and order a copy from Granta.

  3. I am sorry not to be reading along with you, Stu, but I read it just a little while ago and while it’s definitely worth re-reading, it’s a bit too soon for me at this stage. (I’m actually re-reading Anna Karenina at the moment so you can see, I am a fan of Tolstoy).
My blog post about War and Peace has some spoilers, but it also has some nice video links of the battles and photos of Moscow and Petersburg links so you may want to have a look at it as you go along. Here’s the link http://anzlitlovers.wordpress.com/2009/03/15/war-and-peace-by-leo-tolstoy/
    Happy reading!
    Lisa

  4. Good luck Stu!

I’ll probably get around to a reread at some point this year (but at my usual mad frenzied pace, not at the leisurely readalong pace you described!).

  5. I am sure that once you start reporting your thoughts on War and Peace I’ll want to read it. I read Anna Karenina a few years ago so I know I can do it!

First I’ve heard of Khirbet Khizeh; I off to learn more about it!
