I have been a fan of Seagull books for a couple of years and have slowly been buying their titles. Here is one from the African series. This is a powerful novel about the start of the transatlantic slave trade. From a prize-winning Cameroonian writer Lenora Miano . Have you read her or tried and Seagull books?

I have heard of Seagull books but don’t think I have any. So many smaller publishers that are interesting. Hard to keep up with them all.
Yes and lots more last few years
Miano was at Seagull this year when I was there—as a student in their publishing course. I understand she wants to set up a publishing project in her home country.
Interesting thanks great they getting writers inspiration to work in their own countries
Joe from Rough Ghosts has posted reviews of Seagull Books, I like the idea of translated fiction from Africa, and would like to read more of it. They’ve got a few by Zakes Mda which interest me though they are not translations.
Yes not enough out there I like to discover new writers from Africa
