An interesting character from Wodehouse a new young novelist with a grand hand at comic writing ,all about mike and psmith also a dollop of cricket thrown in for a good turn .
PRESTER JOHN BY JOHN BUCHAN
A novel about david crawfords adventures in spouthern africa during the recent zulu uprisng a novel about our empire ,the judges said

I had to go and find out how far back the Booker prize really goes ;-).
I read “Howard’s End” eons ago, and have read some Wodehouse but not that one. Not sure Prester John stood the test of time, never heard of the author.
It does make one think how many Booker Prize short listers (and even winners) really do stand the test of time!
